How to prepare your graphical designs before you send it to print

Do you care about the colors of your design?

To keep accurate colors it is necessary to supply certified digital preview created on a calibrated device that complies with ISO12647 standards.

Quality Of Supplied Print Materials

Quality of print materials has a direct impact on print quality itself. It is necessary to comply with the following requirement:

  1. Color model: CMYK
  2. Supply cromalin certified digital preview
  3. Texts and logos in vector format
  4. Correct black setting (CMYK: 40-40-40-100)
  5. All materials must be saved in single layer
  6. Size must be defined by crop marks. Bleeds minimum 3 mm and crop marks indented 3mm from the cutting line. Image generated in the middle of print page.
  7. Include all fonts
  8. Always without including ICC profiles or use standard ICC profile ISOcoated_v2_eci.icc
  9. Remove or rasterize transparency and effects. Or use PDF format version 1.3 (Adobe Acrobat 4.0 - distilled from PS Adobe Acrobat Distiller)
  10. If you need to print with additional 5th color (eg. white) consult in advance

We recommend:

  1. Name the file using pattern NAME_WIDTHxHEIGHTcm.EXTENSION, for example banner_120x4m.pdf or text_120x30cm.ai
  2. Use PDF file format in version Acrobat 1.3 or use TIF 8bit/channel (LZW compression allowed), no layers. In case of vector graphics use EPS and AI (version Adobe CS3)
  3. Check the overprint in the final file. Customer is responsible for correct settings in supplied files.
  4. Customer is responsible for text and graphic content of the supplied materials (grammatical errors, language version, listed prices, etc)

Do not forget (prints larger than 3m2):

  1. To achieve the best quality we recommend file formats PDF, TIFF or EPS. File format JPG is not suitable at all.
  2. Create your file with resolution at least 200 dpi at 1:1 scale. For sharpness we recommend resolution 150 - 300 dpi, however at least 100 dpi at 1:1 scale.
  3. If you are suing PANTONE colors make sure to include their numbers in the preview. This is the only way we can guarantee correct colors in your print. We also recommend including PDF or JPG preview.

Cutting plotter:

  1. Data for plotter need to be supplied in vectors in 1:1 scale, for example CDR (version 11), ai (CS3), epc (CS3)
  2. Supply colors based on foil colors or RAL

Important:

If you do not follow the requirements above we can not guarantee quality and colors. Any updates or changes of supplied materials are considered extra costs and we reserve the right to bill for any additional changes.
